Our Story

Born from a passion for smarter commuting

HITWAY was founded in 2017 by a team of engineers and cycling enthusiasts who were frustrated with the compromises in existing electric bikes — either underpowered, unreliable, or simply unaffordable.

Starting from a small workshop in Shenzhen, we spent two years perfecting our first model. Today, HITWAY products are ridden in over 40 countries, trusted by daily commuters, weekend adventurers, and everyone in between.

2017
HITWAY founded

Michael Chen and two co-founders start HITWAY in a Shenzhen workshop with a mission to democratise electric mobility.

2019
First model launched

The HITWAY H1 ships to its first 500 backers. Reviews praise the range and build quality. We sell out in 3 weeks.

2020
European expansion

HITWAY enters Germany, France, and the UK. We pass CE certification and open our first European warehouse in Frankfurt.

2022
100,000 riders milestone

We celebrate 100,000 satisfied customers across 40 countries. Our NPS score reaches 72 — among the highest in the industry.

2024
Next generation platform
